MIcroneedling

Microneedling is a beautiful yet effective non evasive advanced aesthetic therapy that helps address any aging/scarring/pigmentation issues on the face or body.

We use a DrPen device, which uses micro fine needles to puncture the skin with micro channels, which trigger a healing response. At a cellular level this means an increase in collagen/elastin and cell renewal. This natural process heals the micro wounds and strengthens underlying structures which then give us a firmer amd fuller facial appearance. For scarring/pigmentation and texture the same process improves cell renewal and regeneration of cell tissues.

Unfortunately Microneedling in certain circumstances cannot be carried out if you:

• v Have an active skin infection in the treatment area
• v Have open wounds, broken skin, cuts or active inflammation
• v Have an active cold sore or herpes outbreak in or around the treatment area
• v Taking retinol medications or acne prescriptive medications
• v Have active, inflamed acne in the area being treated
• v Have a severe skin condition or flare-up affecting the treatment area
• v Have a known tendency to develop keloid or raised scarring
• v Have had recent surgery, laser treatment, chemical peels or other procedures affecting the area and the skin has not fully recovered
• v Are taking blood thinning medications that affect blood clotting or wound healing
• v Have a condition or treatment that significantly impairs your immune system or ability to heal
• v Are pregnant or breastfeeding
